About Good Clothes Good People
Good Clothes Good People is a UCLA-based nonprofit organization that aims to provide clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies to students in need through creative and engaging donation campaigns. Funded by UCLA's GCGP Basic Needs Referendum, we annually collect and manage over $30,000 to fund our organization. Our UCLA redistribution center houses our clothing closet and formal wear corner. We also offer wheelchair, crutches, and umbrella rentals in addition to a refill hygiene station where we encourage volunteers to bring their own bottle. Throughout the academic year, we partner with other UCLA-based organizations to host clothing swaps, hygiene refill stations, and other educational events. Functioning at the intersection of accessibility and sustainability, GCGP aims to redistribute all donations through sustainable methods. GCGP was founded by undergraduates and high school students working to integrate artistry and service in Louisville, Kentucky and expanded to colleges across California in 2017. Since our founding, GCGP has been entirely student-run and has provided services to more than 3,000 students and even more individuals in the wider Los Angeles community.
