About Good Governance Africa
Good Governance Africa (GGA) is an applied policy research think tank. Our vision is an Africa where citizens are empowered to hold their governments to account and governments are effective at delivering services so that businesses can thrive and poverty can be eradicated. Our mission is to realise this vision of broad-based development through high quality research that influences policy formation, and downstream interventions that are systemic, sustainable and scalable. Our interventions are informed by research, and our monitoring and evaluation data feeds further research. We currently have centres in Ghana, Nigeria, Ethiopia (https://www.linkedin.com/company/good-governance-africa-eastern-africa/) and South Africa. Our demand-driven research provides evidence to inform effective policies, tackling challenges like youth unemployment, the resource curse and environmental degradation. We champion inclusive political settlements shaped by strong commitment to the rule of law to combat human rights abuses and corruption. GGA envisions a future where African nations lead through green industrialisation and preserving ecological integrity. Our flagship publication, Africa in Fact (https://africainfact.com), released quarterly, provides incisive analysis on themes as varied as the future of African cities to tackling corruption. We also release quarterly policy briefings (https://gga.org/the-governance-report/policy-briefings/) to shape policy formation, and intelligence reports (https://gga.org/africa-digital-databank/intelligence-reports/) to aid private sector decision-making. For a conversation about your bespoke research requirements, please contact us on 011 268 0479 or email at info@gga.org.
