About GoodLife Mobility
We are bringing fun and independence back to veterans and people with disabilities through adaptive water sport technology. With a talented team of engineers, advanced prototyping tools, and decades of hardware engineering experience GoodLife Mobility’s goal is to bring affordable and accessible water sport recreation to disabled veterans nationwide. Headquartered in Redwood City, California, GLM is a non-profit organization who's broad mission is to develop, promote and provide healthy transportation alternatives for veterans, seniors and other adults and children with disabilities ~ to contribute to their overall well being by enabling active and independently mobile lifestyles. Lifelong surfer and founder, Dainuri Rott, built his first electric assist surfboard in 2003. At a conference in 2006 Dainuri met a former competitive surfer who had become a quadriplegic in a surfing accident. Dainuri was inspired to help get this surfer back in the water independently; toward that end he delivered a throttle -controlled surfboard in 2009. With the assistance of a grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, and countless hours of volunteer labor, GoodLife Mobility went on to build the world’s first joystick controlled (both throttle and steering) electric surfboard. We develop technologically engaged surfboards and SUP boards! The mission is to design, promote and provide healthy lifestyle alternatives for veterans, seniors and people living with disabilities.
