About GoodWorks Ministries

Our objective is to provide an effective means of serving youth who are aging out or preparing to age out of Foster Care by providing a one stop process for the various transition services that are available to them. Our program currently operates the “Good Works Transition Center” which contains a Youth Transition Program to help facilitate the transition process for these youth. The Transition Center also operates an Independent Living Program for young women who are aging out and are interested in attending school. Because these young adults are in danger of becoming homeless, having residential facilities is an important step toward developing meaningful assistance programs with these at-risk youth. The living facility provides a safe living/study environment with mentorship and community building skills development. Through the Youth Transition Program we use a comprehensive approach in reaching out to young adults by partnering with various organizations and local community groups. Whenever possible, we work directly with other community programs that are designed to address specific areas for a successful transition from Foster Care. Our facilities are made available for workshops and training seminars addressing these transition needs and are open to any at-risk-youth that are preparing to age out and are able to participate.
