Originally Goss was incorporated as CH Goss Co. back in 1895 as a retailer of hardware and bicycles. Goss quickly expanded into the automotive business in the early 1900's as a distributer of the Packard automobile out of St Johnsbury, Vermont. A few years later Goss became a Dodge dealership in 1917, only 3 short years after the creation of the brand by the Dodge brothers who began manufacturing in 1914. CH Goss Co. moved to Burlington, Vermont back in 1946 on Main street in downtown at what is the old Amory building. Eventually Goss moved to North Avenue in Burlington before moving to our current location at 1485 Shelburne Road in South Burlington Vermont back in 1970. Doug Hoar started with the company in the mid 60's and purchased the company in 1979. The current company Goss Dodge Inc. was incorporated at that time. More recently in 2009 we bought the Chrysler franchise, the premier product division of Chrysler corporation which adds to the exciting line of cars we offer.
