About GOTO Solutions

Do you have processes that go wrong more than you'd like, are bottlenecks, or have unacceptably high training costs? Or maybe something new with no process at all? I can fix that for you. GOTO Solutions is a relaunch of my consulting activities under a new name. I generally prefer the stability of full-time permanent work, but this business has allowed me to work on some amazing projects. My approach has always been, "If you need something done, I can probably do it. If I don't know, I'll learn. Quickly." My current efforts are focused on the results that have, almost invariably, been my greatest contributions wherever I've worked; process improvement. Whatever I've done, I've looked for, and have usually found, ways to do it better, faster, cheaper, easier. It could be simplifying complicated, error-prone tasks or, even better, automating them. Likely an even greater contribution is the understanding that I don't need to solve everything myself. The best source of good ideas is the front-line workers who perform a task all day long but whose opinion is too often not sought or valued. As a result of the extended path I took to attain post-secondary education, I've had to start in the trenches and work my way up many times. Management and Engineering absolutely need to set priorities and verify solutions, but the gold is in the ground. Power to the Peons!
