Did you know that one third of all food produced in the world is wasted? Well, bread is the worst waste culprit with almost half (44%) of all bread baked in the UK going to waste. We’re changing the agenda around waste in the UK food industry, using our chocolate know-how to embrace waste and make something delicious. Chocolate + nuts + bread = Goüter. Goüter helps reduce UK food waste (and CO2 emissions) by rescuing and reusing bread and keeping our other ingredients as local as possible. Together with the highest-quality British chocolate and up to 40% nuts, we make delicious little clusters of climate activism. And it’s not just any chocolate. We’re putting British chocolate back on the map with our premium artisan chocolate, which has a high cocoa content, less sugar than mainstream milk chocolate and no palm or soy ingredients. Looks aren’t important to us, which is why Goüter clusters come in all shapes and sizes. Instead of using plastic moulds to make our snacks perfectly symmetrical, we’re all about eco not ego. Our snack-making process, and our packaging, is completely plastic-free. Goüter founders Joel Manuvelpillai and Damien Andre think it’s time to do things differently. Together, they have spent their lives innovating with chocolate and figuring out ways to hold the food industry accountable and make delicious outcomes sustainable.
