Finally there is a solution to reduce nosocomial infections in a reliable and easy way. As you know, nosocomial infections at hospitals are causing about 100,000 deaths and $6.5 billions every year in the US. And the same happen all over the world. The WHO has a protocol in order to avoid the infections but it is accomplish under 50%. We have patented an intelligent device that recognize who is sanitizing their hands by his fingerprints. It send all the information to a database: WHO cleaned the hands, WHEN he did it and WHERE (which room or place). Therefore, we can monitoring in real time all this information. Our own body is the easiest and reliable way to solve it. Our software provides statistics on gel consumption rates, quantity of gel really consumed in each hospital in a totally reliable way, the WHO protocol compliance statistics by individuals, by area, by professional category; it can also optionally establish traceability by linking care moments and hand hygiene moments of employees for any given patient. In countries, or in specific hospitals, where employees are not comfortable with the idea of using biometric records, we can optionally deactivate that feature but benefit from the rest of its functionality. Where it is not cost effective to assign one dispenser per patient, such as day care centers, intensive care units or dialysis centers, we can assign each dispenser to a cart and the dispenser identifies patient and employees in such a way that it can create a log of all hygiene moments of different employees proving care to a given patient.
