About GQA Qualifications
GQA Qualifications is an Awarding Organisation for specialist sectors and occupational roles. Our current qualifications cover 17 sectors including the Glass and Fenestration Industries, Construction, Fire, Print, Automotive Glazing, Polymers, Nuclear, Chimney Occupations, Paper, Meteorology and Print. Our industry knowledge and experience enables us to write effective work place qualifications, which are designed to test and demonstrate the competence of candidates. Our Training Providers Over 200 training providers and colleges in the UK deliver our work based qualifications to candidates. Centres who wish to implement GQA qualifications must be recognised to do so, and once recognised will be subject to quality assurance by our network of External Verifiers whose aim is to advise, support and guide. Our Candidates Our qualifications provide employees and self employed traders with a competitive edge and helps to reassure customers that their work is of a high standard. Candidates are assessed in the workplace to ensure that they can carry out their role to a high standard. Once qualified, candidates can then go on to obtain a GQA Q Card which provides proof of their competence to their customers. Qualification development is carried out in accordance with regulatory and Sector Skill Council requirements, using industry experts throughout the development and consultation processes.
