Sherry and Amanda are the enigmatic mother/daughter design duo of Grace Monroe Home. Sherry started working in a florist over thirty years ago where she developed a passion for florals and “making beautiful things”. Over the years, “Life” happened, and Sherry’s attention and focus drifted to raising her two daughters, and dabbling in other endeavors, such as publishing a regional marketing magazine and climbing the corporate sales ladder. In 2007 Sherry decided to dive back into the floral industry, but this time around, her attention was on luxury wreath design, where she put all of her focus on learning and perfecting her craft (or what she refers to as “art”.) During this time some of her passion rubbed off on her oldest daughter, Amanda, who had recently moved back home to Alabama, from New York City, where she had spent several years exploring her “artsy and theatrical” passions. Amanda, being a creative spirit, decided to learn the art of wreath design as well, and together, they decided to go “all in” with their wreath business. People responded enthusiastically to their wreath designs, and over the years, as their business grew, the dynamic duo sold thousands of wreaths all over the world, and quickly grew a dedicated audience of loyal followers. It did not take long for their company to become the industry leader in luxury wreath design, and because of the unique quality of the duo’s wreaths, people were constantly inquiring about the design techniques they used to make the wreaths, and if they would be willing teach them how to make them. Today, Sherry and Amanda, are blessed to not only have their designs hanging on doors all over the world, but they also have the honor of inspiring and training aspiring wreath makers, as well as seasoned designers, giving them the tools and techniques to grow their own successful businesses.
