About Grade A Plus Incorporated
Grade A Plus Incorporated, was originally founded by Rev. Wesley G. Threat and Dr. Janice Dawson-Threat in 1999. In 2013, Dr. Janice Dawson-Threat was appointed Executive Director and the organization rebranded in January 2017. It has always served as a volunteer, community-based Not-for-Profit agency committed to serving youth and families. Our commitment to service is rooted deeply in our love for the community a commitment to "Investing in Youth". Our vision is to narrow the opportunity gap and increase academic equity by reducing the barriers that inhibit success in and out of school. Our mission is to motivate students for learning, to inspire academic curiosity, and to increase student confidence in the practice of problem-solving. We believe that all children can learn to do well when given support, encouragement and confidence.
