Edinburgh Napier University in collaboration with Gradworks have developed a new work-based degree programme, BA (Hons) Applied Business, specifically for Northern Ireland. The programme which is designed by industry leaders, businesses and academic staff aims to develop graduates who have enterprising and innovative mind-sets and who are well prepared to thrive in complex uncertain environments. The new degree programme is designed to: - Up skill your workforce and improve staff retention and morale. This programme offers the opportunity for mid-career employees to acquire new knowledge and empowerment in leadership and management skills while qualifying with an honours degree. This new concept in higher education will contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation. To ensure that students have many opportunities to develop, more than fifty percent of the BA (Hons) Applied Business degree is made up of taught business innovative modules and a range of applied projects tailored specifically to the needs of the organisation. This course can also be applied for through APEL (Accreditation of Prior and Experiential Learning). - Attract new talent into your organisation. A-Level or equivalent qualified students who desire to earn and learn at the same time. This opportunity is unique in that it provides a platform for students to introduce fresh ideas and processes to your organisation parallel to their learning. Each year the students will complete a project which is specific to the needs of the company, and designed in collaboration with the employer, employee and academic tutor.
