Grafotec has been active in the flat glass industry since 1983. Initially, a roller powder device was developed that applies separating agent to the glass sheet via a roller. In 1995 Grafotec further expanded the glass division and a liquid application device was presented to the market - the "LA-C-Protection". The device is used to apply liquids to float glass, especially anti-corrosion agents that protect against corrosion during transport or storage. In 2002 the "LA-C protection" was further modified. The "LA-Automotive" was created. Now this makes life considerably easier for the manufacturers of car glasses. The “LA-Automotive” can apply liquids that allow a separating agent to be placed between the glass pair to be bent so well that it not only prevents slipping, but also significantly improves the optical quality of the windshield. In mid-2002, a nozzle sprayer successfully passed the field test. This further development of the roller powder devices was the application of powder by controllable nozzles. The high level of interest for the AP series results from the flexible powder distribution. This allows the powder application to be flexibly adapted to a wide variety of glass widths. The result is a high cost saving of the separating agent and especially in connection with an extraction a clean working environment. Since the subject of quality is coming more and more into focus, electrostatics play an important role, Grafotec also supports its customers with questions and problems relating to this topic. Quality support is also provided with an automatic control of the release agent application by means of optical monitoring and the automatic correction of the powder application. Grafotec's aim is to respond to requests in order to provide each customer with a suitable system tailored to their needs and circumstances.
