About Grainline
Welcome to Grainline! Thanks for checking out our page! Grainline specialise in the manufacture of grain augers and grain handling equipment. Grainline products are manufactured to meet the demands and requests of the Australian Agricultural Industry. With high quality, innovative products and excellent customer service, we are dedicated to 100% customer satisfaction Established in Wagga Wagga since 1979, Grainline is a local family business, owned and operated by the Stead Family Trust. The family business originated in Sydney, at 743 Harris Street, Ultimo in 1913. Trading as Stead and Baker, they were dedicated to the Australian Rural Industry, as is Grainline today. In 1970, Stead and Baker opened a shop in Baylis Street, Wagga Wagga, registered as Stead’s Farm Hardware. The fact that Stead and Baker were well known in the rural community for generations, meant the move from the city was beneficial to all. Grainline became a division of Stead’s Farm Hardware in 1979, importing grain loss monitors, moisture meters, poly hoppers etc, and manufacturing 4” pencil augers. As the Grainline manufacturing business developed the range increased, including transportable and mobile augers, drill fils, rota doors and other grain handling products.
