About Grand Cru Imports

In French, Grand Cru literally means “great growth” and in the official French wine classification it refers to “a wine of the most superior grade, or the vineyard that produces it.” As the name suggests, our aim is to bring you the best of the best while always keeping value in mind. The wines offered come from small, yet renowned producers who may only bottle, in most circumstances, into the hundreds of cases per year, not thousands. Or we may bring in second growths of the well-known top houses and even still these wines are difficult to find. In other words, we hope to continue to find rare, treasured and otherwise top-notch wines that may not be available anywhere else. Certainly not in B.C. or Alberta. When it comes down to it, wine is really about life. About history and terroir. About family, sharing good food, conversation, and moments in time. About building new relationships or cherishing old ones. Wine is all of these things and more. Experiences like that are why we chose to make Grand Cru a part of our life and our story.
