About Granlund K-Lab

K-LAB was founded with the purpose of challenging the structural engineering norms in the Scandinavian construction industry. The K-LAB team has worked on a variety of innovative engineering projects across the world and now brings together over 80 years of collective engineering experience to make our clients' visions a reality. With backgrounds in construction management, structural engineering, project management and BIM coordination, we aim to use the latest technologies and thinking in order to improve the way projects are delivered. Our core team of structural engineers and modellers come from different backgrounds and have complementary strengths. This, along with a strong commercial understanding allows us to look at design from a number of viewpoints to ultimately find the best solutions to meet our clients’ needs and understand what to prioritise to achieve the best result for our clients. We recognise that each and every project is different and has its own challenges and opportunities. We aim to deliver high quality structural designs and documentation with a focus on quick, interactive design processes that engage the entire design team. All of our designs at K-LAB focus on the three main principles of the construction industry - time, quality and cost. Through our careful planning and alternative approach, we strive to offer solutions which are not only cost effective in terms of materials, but also offer improved construction periods on site, whilst ensuring that they satisfy the requirements for a BREEAM or LEED certified building.
