About Grant & Brown

Grant & Brown is a specialist independent geotechnical engineering consultancy for the construction industry. We provide high quality geotechnical design and comprehensive advice for both temporary and permanent works, as well as expert services for claims / dispute resolution. We were formed out of a long term working relationship between Richard Grant and Mark Brown, developed over many years with specialist structural and geotechnical engineering consultancy Benaim, and by acquisition Scott Wilson | URS. We offer the full range of geotechnical design services for buildings, bridges, basements and deep excavations, cut and cover tunnels and other large civil engineering structures. We partner with structural and other specialists, as required, to meet particular client needs, and have considerable experience of team-working and integrating in multi-disciplinary design teams. Our aim is to work alongside our clients to ensure the development of safe, cost effective and fully coordinated designs. We understand the constraints of construction and will always seek to integrate the sequencing of the project and the temporary works solutions into the permanent works designs.
