About Gray Area Counseling

Gray Area Counseling, LLC is a private practice mental health company owned and operated by Hudson Wilkins, MA, LPCC. Gray Area Counseling, LLC is dedicated to supporting the healing journey of individuals who have experienced sexual violence, and who are ready to begin the work of reclaiming their whole selves through balancing patience, reality, and hope to achieve real and measurable change. We are also dedicated to supporting parents, partners, children, and other loved one to process through their own experiences of secondary trauma (the very real trauma related symptoms that often correspond to learning about and trying to support your loved one in the wake of a terrible life event/s). At Gray Area Counseling we recognize the necessity of creating a safe space to heal from sexual violence not just in the therapy room but also in the home, in school, in the work place, and the community at large. While it isn't possible to ever guarantee safety, it is possible to build up the strengths and resources necessary to rediscover empowerment as a survivor of sexual violence in your body, your voice, your self-worth, and your relationships. As a secondary survivor it is possible to simultaneously learn how to process through your own pain while developing the tools, skills, and boundaries to effectively support your loved one to heal from their assault experience. Through a combination of Positivistic, Person Centered Psychotherapy, Canine Assisted Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Nature Based Counseling, and soon EMDR, Gray Area Counseling, LLC is dedicated and ready to helping all folks heal from sexual violence.
