My name is Joe Gray, and I am the owner and proprietor of Gray Matter Development LLC. I go by Gray Matter Lifting on the various interwebs, and I am a garage gym athlete who loves the Garage Gym Community. My personal motto is Better Than Yesterday. This defines who I am, my view of the world, and my goals in life. Each day I try to be a little better than I was the day before. A little smarter, a little stronger, a little happier. I live in Northern California with my wife (Jamie, RN) daughter (Audrey), and dog (Jax, Cane Corso). My resume includes a decade of experience in corporate training, project management, and event coordination, paired with my Masters Degree in Instructional Design for a Digital Audience, 15+ years of strength training experience, 7+ years of garage gym lifting experience, 4+ years as a Reddit r/HomeGym Moderator, and a 1,450 Total in powerlifting. I’m pursuing an Elite Total in the 240lb class before I turn 40 years old. I’ve helped grow the Reddit r/HomeGym Community from 40k to 400k+ in under 5 years.
