Great Northern Asset Management, LLC opened its doors in March of 2006 as an asset-fee only SEC registered investment advisory firm. We seek to deliver highly customized financial advice on a client by client basis, provide a thorough macroeconomic outlook, and offer investment solutions with a unique level of personal service. The cornerstone of our investment philosophy is our view that economic fundamentals ultimately drive asset valuations. Often the consensus on any given investment subject will be wrong. We overlay our macroeconomic view into an asset allocation portfolio. As a process, we analyze and review allocations on an ongoing basis, considering the economic and global investment climate. We will tend to diversify across fewer sectors than most asset allocators but rarely concentrate more than fifteen percent of client assets with any one manager. GNAM takes pride in the ability to choose top tier managers in each asset class. Our research team has over 40 years of experience in evaluating investment advisors. We believe manager selection is just the start. Ongoing manager due diligence, including calls and office visits, provide the ability to thoroughly judge the investment from start to finish. We believe we bring unique intellect, insight, and energy to the growth and management of client assets.
