About Great Schools North Carolina
Great Schools North Carolina (GSNC) was founded in 2023 to remove barriers to success for both existing and new public charter schools across the state. We support leaders serving students furthest from opportunity with strategic funding and collaborative partnership, so that every family in North Carolina, regardless of location or background, can choose a great public school for their child. To support these leaders and communities, we provide grants in the areas of: 1) New School Launches: Startup capital for leaders launching their first school or replicating or expanding their existing school 2) School Quality Supports: Expertise and resources to make the leap from “good to great” through cohort-based learning and coaching & partnerships 3) School Facilities & Finance: Technical assistance, grant and loan dollars, and a range of preferred providers to help new schools find their long-term home
