We are One Learning Community that works together to ensure our 20,000+ students in 47 schools across the Greater Victoria region can reach their greatest potential and pursue their aspirations. Background: The Greater Victoria School District (No. 61) is located in the capital city of British Columbia and covers the municipalities of Esquimalt, Oak Bay, Victoria, View Royal and portions of Saanich and the Highlands. We employ approximately 3,400 staff and more than 20,000 students attend our schools. We have 47 schools, of which includes 28 elementary schools (kindergarten to grade 5), 10 middle schools (grades 6 to 8), 7 secondary schools (grades 9 to 12), an alternative school, and an International Student Program.
