About Greater West Family Law Practitioners Association

The Greater West Family Law Practitioners Association Inc ("GWFLPA") was formed to provide an association for judicial, legal, paralegal, social science and finance professionals who practice in the field of Family Law in the geographic area serviced by the Parramatta and Dubbo Registries of the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. The Association has the support of the judicial and administrative personnel at the Parramatta and Dubbo Registries. The objects of the association are: • to promote discussion and exchange of ideas in relation to the practice of Family Law; • to provide a means of practitioners networking and interacting - especially those practising in Greater Western Sydney and in the Central West / Orange regional areas; • to represent the interests of Family Law practitioners to government and other organisations; • to provide professional development, mentoring and support as required to practitioners, particularly to new graduates and those who are new to Family Law. Membership is open to all professionals and students who work in or are studying and have an interest in Family Law. If you are interested in membership and receiving information about upcoming events and activities, please email admin@greaterwestflpa.org.au and request a membership application form. The current annual membership fee is $50 for ordinary members or $25 for student members. This can be paid by EFT to the account detailed on the form. GWFLPA acknowledges the unwavering support of the Association's patron, The Hon. Eric Baker and the thought leadership of Professor, The Hon. David Collier AM, Mr Paul Le Large, Registry Manager, Parramatta and Mr Gary Cluff, Immediate Past President, Parramatta & District Law Society in setting up this important venture.
