About Green & Green
Our history stretches back to the year 1948 when Lars Green established his first company and started to manufacture handbags and shopping bags. Soon after that he asked his three brothers to join him and by the early 1950's they started to manufacture umbrellas in Porvoo, Finland. The Green brothers' umbrellas became a success story and by the mid 1960's some half a million umbrellas were made each year. The umbrellas, under the top-tip brand, were exported all over the world, even to exotic places as Greenland and Lagos. Some of the Green brothers' best customers were such department stores as New York's Lord & Taylor, London's Liberty and Bourne & Hollingsworth, Paris' Galeries Lafayette, Madrid's Loewe, and Bermuda's H.A. & E. Smith. Today, we continue to develop our business and are working with globally recognized partners when it comes to both technical and design aspects of making a first-class umbrella.
