Pre-event Green Planning: * Review event details from the event producer to design a customized Zero Waste Plan * Advance best practices and products in an eco-conscious way * Outline green procedures and acceptable wares to food vendors; specified to the location * Outline and adhere to recycling guidelines by location * Provide “What Goes Where?” for producers and vendors * Prepare event-specific signage * Calculate size, number of dumpsters; with producer, determine placement * Liaison with a hauler for dumpster delivery, placement, and pick up On-site: * Set up and monitor “EcoStations” for compost, recycling, and trash * Pre-event grounds cleaning throughout the set-up process * Provide clear labeling with detailed signage: green for compost, blue for recycling, black for trash * Ensure food vendors are in compliance with the event Green Plan * Set up compost, recycling, and trash containers for all food vendors * Subcontract grounds cleaning and street sweeping * Roving spot sorting of stations – keeps compost “pure” and enables more front-of-house education * Ensure ALL “waste” is sorted to maximize compost and recycling * Remove hazardous waste and miscellaneous recyclables such as hangers and clean plastic film * Keep the site clean throughout the event * Label dumpsters, and call for pick up with numbers and contents * Provide final site clean up
