At Green Pirogue, we believe that timeless design begins with a story. The original pirogues were small boats carved by Native Americans from large tree trunks for transport. French Colonists in Louisiana later adapted this design and term. Over time, the Pirogue cemented itself in the culture of Louisiana as a symbol for where we had been, and where we will go. In that same spirit, we are on a journey of our own: hunting down items that preserve our history and tell a story of our past. We source architectural antiques that carry history, craftsmanship, and soul. Each piece is carefully selected to evoke emotion and inspire a connection to its surrounding environment. We take great pride in preserving history and facilitating the integration of enduring, high-quality materials into today’s construction projects. By reintroducing timeworn architectural elements into modern spaces, we aim to bridge the past and present with intention and authenticity.
