Almost 50% of the UK’s homeowners actively consider installing a solar energy micro-generation system, yet only 10% have done so. The UK lags behind comparable countries in solar energy adoption and no - its not just because of our weather! There’s a deficit in public understanding of the practicalities and true potential of domestic solar power and that's made worse by the fact that many people who feel they’d like to install it simply fail to find trustworthy sources of information, advice & installation service. Given the significanct benefits solar power offers our country and it's homeowners, it's a real problem that so many suppliers tend to be poorly organised and focussed mostly on just 'transacting'. They sell & install product but often lack design skills meaning customers lose out and don't even know it. More obvious is the lack of customer service or support to achieve long term household sustainability and efficiency goals. This all slows our adoption of home solar energy and means the UK is largely missing out on the opportunity and benefits of micro generation.
