As a Director of User Experience and User Experience Specialist with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in usability-informed design. I synthesize user research, current standards, business and user needs, and usability techniques to create effective, enjoyable products and experiences. I am increasingly fascinated by the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on UX strategy in recent projects. I have wide experience in information architecture, usability evaluation, and UX design. I am skilled in various roles, as a UX lead, team member, or sole practitioner. I am adept at communicating with diverse audiences, from developers to executives. My specialties include building consensus, wire framing, usability testing, user interviews, persona creation, rapid prototyping, e-commerce optimization, heuristic evaluations, questionnaires, statistics, and e-commerce web. I work with a wide range of companies, including Fortune 500 companies such as CNN, Delta, and the United States Navy, as well as mom and pop shops and start-ups. Size does not matter. I get things done. I am skilled in using Sketch, Figma, Mural, and related tools to help bring your ideas to life. With a focus on ongoing short-term and long-term projects, I offer flexible deliverable-based contracts or 40-hour week commitments for the right projects. In addition to my expertise, I attract proven talent from my existing network to form plug-in teams whenever needed.
