GreenKey has many decades in the non-wood paper making, packaging, textiles, and biotechnology industries. Our patent-pending process was engineered to make pulp from any biomass, such as hemp or bagasse, or food processing plant biomass residues that can be built at any size or scale and be placed anywhere there is a source of convertible biomass. The GreenKey process does not use heat or harsh chemicals. It uses 70% less water and 60% less energy per ton in a 60 ton/day process versus a Kraft mill that produces hundreds of tons of pulp per day. It does not need a river or major waterway so it can be positioned where the biomass exists versus trucking thousands of cut trees to a distant mill that is on a major body of fresh water. Because our process is done at ambient temperature, the liquid extractions are just as exciting because here is where you will find unadulterated lignin, plant medicines, hemicellulose, and nano cellulose. The GreenKey process is nothing more than a convenient way to take nature's refined beauty and turn it into feedstock for a myriad of existing markets that are using less environmentally friendly options. It is blind to the biomass and can go from molded pulp trays for fresh produce all the way to dissolving grade.
