About Greenleaf Family Center
Greenleaf Family Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) social service organization serving families since 1912. Each year, Greenleaf Family Center serves area families who face the challenges of daily living and personal crises that arise from a variety of problems, including personal and family issues, mental health, teenage parenting, alcohol and drug addictions, financial instability and school adjustment. Services include: Individual, Family and Group Counseling, Educational Programs, Family Support Programs, and Community Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Beginning as the Charity Organization Society of Akron, Ohio by Goodyear founder F. A. Seiberling and Firestone founder Harvey Firestone, the original mission more than 100 years ago continues today as Greenleaf Family Center endeavors to strengthen families in our community through counseling, education, and support.
