Greenpoint Capital ("GPC") is a successful and experienced South African private debt manager providing bespoke and tailor made loans (private debt) to performing small and medium sized (mid-market) businesses in South Africa. We often fill a funding gap faced by medium sized businesses as traditional banks often can not provide the flexibility required by the borrower at the relevant time in their growth cycle. Equally, we often 'partner' with banks in providing the optimal lending solution for our clients. We benefit from extensive relationships with private equity firms, corporate finance houses and other financial services professionals, helping us to originate strong deal flow and high quality investment opportunities. GPC supports company growth strategies, add-ons and private equity buy-outs and focus on companies with EBITDA typically between R10m and R100m+ and with an enterprise value of between R50m to R500m+. We typically provide loans in the range of R20m to R300m, with an ideal hold of R50m to R150m. We have made over 70 loan investments in the South African mid-market to date. We tend to focus on the following sectors: business services, IT, media, telecoms, industrial (light or heavy industrial services), healthcare and consumer & leisure. We do not make loans into the mining or property development sector.
