Learn to Re-create is a social enterprise that designs and produces high quality garment and fashion accessories for the designer market. We offer employment opportunities, professional development and training in Fashion and Textiles Craft production. We are registered as a learning provider with the UK Registry for Learning Providers. We work with 3 groups of people: 1. Professionals in the Fashion and Textiles sector that want to upgrade their technical production and business skills 2. Students who undertake internships and work placements 3. Unemployed individuals that require opportunities to develop work-related skills and competences to enter the labour market. These are individuals that might experience isolation due to no or low educational attainment, poor English language skills, poor physical or mental health or caring responsibilities. Our programmes equip participants to develop communication, employability, team working, commercial awareness, presentation, interpersonal and problem solving skills. The training we offer enables participants to set-up a business, to progress to further learning, take up an apprenticeship position, paid/unpaid work and/or get involved in their community. We are in the early stages of setting up a production venture to provide garment and textiles crafts products for sale. These items will be handcrafted and made from eco-fabrics sourced from mills and manufacturers for consumers who value quality, style and choose to invest in eco-products whilst creating jobs and providing employment.
