About Grian na nÓg

Grian na nÓg is located on ¾ acres of land in Rathcoole. It offers a variety of indoor and outdoor play spaces and play surfaces including football pitch, sensory garden, and all-weather area for ride-ons and bikes We cater for children aged 1 to 12 years in our toddler rooms, our preschool, our naíonra, our afterschool groups and our preschool afternoon groups. We offer full-time, part-time and sessional places. When we are able, we take children under two years of age. We have our own chef who prepares fresh meals for the children in our daycare service. Grian na nÓg offers an emerging and inquiry-based curriculum. Both the Aistear and Síolta Frameworks guide our practice. Through positive, close communication with children, parents, family, and the community our curriculum evolves. The curriculum is broad-based to support holistic development and it reflects the identities of all children and recognises their abilities and interests. Our indoor and outdoor environments are always changing to reflect the children’s emerging interests. Grian na nÓg offers an inclusive service welcoming all children and families. At Grian na nOg we believe in a fun, child lead play-based approach to learning and development in the early years. Our mission is to provide a loving, fun, nurturing, individualised, educational environment for each child to develop holistically to the best of their ability. Our Early Years Educators are passionate about early years education and supporting your child’s development within a playful and fun atmosphere. Every child’s journey is unique and is one of physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. Through our specially created environment, we follow each child’s individual interests. Meeting each child at their own stage and supporting them at their own pace to develop to the next stage. The preschool class can be for some children their first experience of their very own society.
