The idea behind the GIU was adopted by Darry Alton, president of GridIron University LLC, who also created the GIU All-American Game along with Las Vegas All American Classic, The Magnolia Gridiron Classic, The Dixie Gridiron Classic and The Paradise Bowl . The games has showcased future pros like Tony Romo, Antoine Beatha, Pierre Thomas, Chris Harris, Johnathan Franklin, Jahri Evans, Patrick Crayton, Joshua Cribbs and many more NFL players back when they were college or high school players. GIU will be the home of talented young student-athletes, from middle school grades to college seniors, whose passion for football guides their success on the gridiron and in life. Players with desire and character are introduce to detailed training along with life lessons that help them develop into better players and hopefully better men. GIU goal is to help young athletes establish good habits in the classrooms on the football field and in life. GIU’s mission statement will set the pace for the whole company. The business seeks to build a brotherhood between the customers and the business. By building this relationship with our customers GIU will hope to retain support and referrals from past customers who have gone on to success in life or success in football. Lead by the example of Darry Alton, the business will really focuses on more than helping the player get recruited. The company seeks to instill good learning habits into young athletes to make them better in society at large. Starting these college all stars games have continued my quest of gathering information You can not help but to understand more if you are being taught by some of the NFL best. Over the past eleven years, I have worked with some of the NFL best scouts and coaches and these guys talk football 24/7...I was like a kid in a candy store listening and learning....And then I THOUGHT WHY NOT TAKE THIS TO THE KIDS WHO NEED IT LIKE I NEEDED IT. So GRIDIRON University was born.
