About Grip Spritz
Dusty, dirty basketball courts have become the norm in so many schools and field houses across the country. As these courts have become more all purpose than solely basketball or volleyball, debris cover the court and aren’t cleaned properly. There has really only been a handful of solutions until this point. Water, spit, hand sanitizer, hair spray or those sticky pads. Water, while not as gross as spit, work the same way. It gives these slippery shoes a few minutes of traction before you’re back to sliding around. Hand sanitizers and hair spray help provide more grip, but at a cost. Both of these products contain some percentage of alcohol, which will dry rot the rubber soles of the shoes and really cut down the life span of them. Lastly, sticky pads have been a staple of the game for a few decades. Just about everyone who played in the last 20 years is familiar with them. They work for a few possessions, then you peel off a new sheet, over and over. Flying through sticky sheets can cost a program a lot of money over the course of the season and it’s not a perfect fix. Since they use adhesives, your shoes will just pick up more and more debris quickly after using it. Grip Spritz set out to help schools save money, elongate the life of the shoes and just stop players from dealing with dusty courts. No matter if you’re a full team or an individual player, we wanted to solve this issue. Teams can save money using one of our traction mats. The same idea, but no adhesives so you’re not constantly peeling off sheets or having to reapply. Individual players are constantly traveling from gym to gym and you never know what the quality of the court is going to be. So we put traction in a bottle! The same great grip you’d have from carrying one of our traction mats with you everywhere, but it fits in your pocket!
