About Groovin' Your Way

Groovin Your Way was established by Emma in 2020 in Melbourne during the COVID lockdown. She thought about how she could inspire and entertain her grandpa while practicing social distancing and isolation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she came up with an idea of designing the Movers & Groovers program. She has used her experiences and worked with people who had neurological and physical disorders such as Dementia. She developed programs designed for physical and brain health for older citizens. Emma created Movers & Groovers to improve the lives of our outstanding older members of the community. It's a fun, fit, and fantastic dance and movement workout that incorporates all aspects of their lives. The participants' primary learning outcomes are: ● Maintaining bone and muscle strength ● Brain and mental health ● Throat and vocal power ● General maintenance of gross motor skills The Movers & Groovers program provides a balanced weekly dose of physical exercise and social interaction. The Movers & Groovers program builds confidence for independent living and provides a fun way to improve their fitness, coordination, and gross motor skills. It also offers a good dose of laughter, pangs, and smiles.
