About Groundwork Ranch

Groundwork Ranch is a nonprofit organization in Louisville, Colorado dedicated to providing equine-assisted learning programs that are empowering, engaging, and effective. Specifically, we work with four diverse groups of people who can benefit from feeling empowered in their own lives, in their relationships, and in their communities. Those people include at-risk teens, foster and adoptive parents of traumatized children, family care partners of people diagnosed with dementia, and survivors of domestic and relationship violence. Part of our mission is to dispel the myths about equine-assisted therapy and learning and to educate the public about the real science that underlies the profound effectiveness of working with horses. None of our programs involve riding. All interaction with the horses is done from the ground, and no previous horse experience is required.
