About Growing Up Boulder
Growing Up Boulder (GUB) is one of the nation’s most successful child-friendly city initiatives. We engage kids’ and youth voices in city decision-making and community planning and our mission is to empower Boulder’s young people with opportunities for inclusion, influence, and deliberation on local issues that affect their lives. Since 2009, our organization has been working with children of all backgrounds to include their input, voices, and imagination, in local government decisions, primarily focusing on projects related to the design of public spaces, transit systems, housing, and resilience planning. We love inspiring other communities around the US - and the world - to adopt a child-friendly-lens while planning and developing communities for everyone.
