About Growth Education Therapy
Growth Educational Therapy uses a multi-faceted and strengths based approach to guide children, teens, and young adults in unlocking their unique gifts and achieving their full academic potential. We provide structured literacy tutorial using the Orton-Gillingham approach and executive functioning coaching for diverse learners. We also offer special education consultation and advocacy to families as well as teacher coaching to individuals and organizations. Veronica Karwoski is the owner of Growth Education Therapy. Veronica is an educational therapist who has worked with children, teens, and young adults in the Atlanta area for 10 years. She uses her experience in special education, structured literacy, outdoor education, and yoga to support students and families in multiple areas and stages of life. She provides executive functioning coaching, targeted intervention for learning disabilities including dyslexia, and IEP advocacy and guidance. She has also served as a team and department lead in both elementary and middle schools. In this capacity Veronica has both trained new and experienced teachers and partnered with families to meet the many needs of diverse learners. Veronica uses the Orton-Gillingham approach, her experience as a special education teacher, and her knowledge of cognitive functioning to design 1:1 or small group tutorial services for students in elementary through college. Veronica specializes in serving students with specific needs related to dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, emotional and behavioral needs, anxiety, and OCD. In addition to supporting student's academic growth, Veronica uses her case management skills to help families navigate their child's educational journey. Veronica's education and training includes: BSW, M.Ed with reading endorsement, 500 hour certified yoga teacher with 25 hour kids yoga for ADHD and Autism, multiple Orton-Gillingham training, and various trainings in de-escalation.
