About Grymsdyke Farm
Grymsdyke Farm is a space for experimentation and learning in architecture and design. Over the past 20 years Grymsdyke Farm has repurposed its agricultural buildings to create maker spaces and communal facilities where traditional craftsmanship blends with modern digital design. We run an annual summer school called Reading Design for students from a variety of design disciplines. Our approach to learning is open-ended, and focused on materials and making processes. Grymsdyke Farm collaborates with architects and designers to produce innovative products and structures. Collaborators have included the V&A Museum, Royal Academy of Arts, Boonserm Premthada, Niall McLaughlin Architects, Piercy&Co, AY Architects, Universal Design Studio and many others. We work closely with leading universities and design schools, on educational and learning programmes, running visiting workshops for Oxford Brookes University, RCA, Bartlett School of Architecture, Imperial and Universidad Europea de Madrid.
