About GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research
GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH in Darmstadt, Germany, operates a unique large-scale accelerator for heavy ions. Researchers from around the world use this facility for experiments that help them make fascinating discoveries in basic research. In addition, they continually develop new and impressive applications. Currently the international accelerator facility FAIR, one of the largest research projects worldwide, is being built in Darmstadt, Germany. At FAIR, matter that usually only exists in the depth of space will be produced in a lab for research. Scientists from all over the world will be able to gain new insights into the structure of matter and the evolution of the universe from the Big Bang to the present. Jobs and Career To perform world-class science we depend on highly qualified staff.
