Guardian Plug & Abandonment was established to help the energy industry reduce carbon emissions through permanent P&A of oil and gas wells. By generating carbon credits for well plugging and selling them, we help operators reduce their P&A burden and restore the land to its intended use. Guardian P&A understands the requirements established by carbon credit registries and companies working with carbon credits. Our team of experts can guide you throughout the process, identify the right methodology to fit your needs, and manage and develop the carbon credit project by serving as: Project Developers: We register your carbon project with the appropriate registry. We obtain and provide all necessary documentation and information and help you understand the requirements and costs to generate carbon credits. Qualified Measurement Specialists: using the RMLD-CS and Semtech Hi-Flow 2, we can quickly and accurately detect and measure methane emissions from leaking wells. We quantify emissions from orphan, idle, or marginally productive wells. The Guardian P&A team works with states to provide methane emissions monitoring services to help ensure compliance with federal funding requirements while obtaining a wealth of emissions data for reporting. We validate methane emissions data collected by other parties and can conduct independent calculations on the methane emissions reduced through well plugging.
