About Guelph Entrepreneurship Society

The Guelph Entrepreneurship Society is the student association for entrepreneurial activities at the University of Guelph. The University of Guelph Entrepreneurship Society (GES) helps students foster and inspire their entrepreneurial spirit through a combination of speaker events, case competitions, and networking opportunities. The GES has proudly delivered many events over the course of the past year. Two key events were the First Year Case Competition (FYCC) and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (IEC). These flagship events are just two of the ways in which GES sets itself apart from other Lang School of Business Associations. Looking to the future, the GES is looking to further differentiate itself from other student associations. Our objective for the 2020-2021 academic school year is to provide resources, advice, connections and events through a virtual platform to continue supporting student's ideas and goals. We aim to teach students valuable skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur. Our Mission The University of Guelph Entrepreneurship Society inspires, facilitates, and betters the entrepreneurial community at the University of Guelph by providing resources, workshops, events, and case competitions to students across the University. Our Vision The Entrepreneurship Society aspires to provide the spark that begins a student’s journey through entrepreneurship, from awareness of entrepreneurship as a concept to launching their first business; by being a present and active member of the University of Guelph community throughout the entire school year and by packing the most value possible into our events.
