About Guild of Fine Food
The Guild of Fine Food is a community of business owners sharing the same passion for good food & drink: formed for mutual support and protection to maintain standards through training and raising awareness of good food and drink. The Guild of Fine Food exists to support, protect, represent, and raise awareness of all good independent food and drink businesses, at a local, national, international, and governmental level: Building a supportive and informative community of producers, retailers and food lovers who protect standards and champion well-made food & drink. A publisher, events and awards organiser, membership organisation and training provider, with a network of activities designed to promote excellence in all sectors of the trade and build closer links between producers and retailers, the Guild of Fine Food publishes Fine Food Digest, the industry voice for independent food & drink retailers. The Guild of Fine Food also organises two internationally-recognised accreditation schemes: Great Taste and World Cheese Awards. Established in 1994, Great Taste is organised by the Guild of Fine Food and is the world’s largest, longest standing and most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food and drink producers. World Cheese Awards has been bringing together the global cheese industry since 1988 in an annual celebration of cheeses and cheese experts from across the world. The Guild is based in the United Kingdom and has a small team and food & drink events spread between Gillingham, Dorset and London. We’re proud to interact with food & drink producers, independent retailers and lovers of good food from all around the world.
