How Gutter Vacuum Systems Began Gutter Vacuum Systems was founded by Mark Blundell, who originally operated a successful exterior cleaning business offering window cleaning, pressure washing, and traditional ladder-based gutter cleaning. That changed when Mark encountered his first gutter vacuum system and quickly realised there was a smarter, safer, and more efficient way to get the job done. After researching the options available at the time, he found most systems to be overpriced and underwhelming. So, he decided to engineer his own. Through hands-on testing and refinement, Mark developed a high-performance gutter vacuum system designed to rival and outperform existing options and at a more accessible price point. One key innovation was the use of aerospace-grade aluminium to create one of the lightest gutter cleaning poles on the market: a 20ft set weighing under 5kg, with each 1.2m section coming in at just 500g. Lightweight, compact, and easy to transport, the system can be fully set up in under five minutes. Innovating Through Experience From the start, innovation has been at the heart of what we do. We introduced quick-release clamps to speed up assembly, a design feature that’s now been widely adopted across the industry. With extensive first-hand experience in exterior cleaning, we continually refine and improve our systems. Our poles have become even lighter without compromising strength, and we’ve added a range of new innovative features to meet the needs of professionals in the field.
