European wine regions offer the most thrilling and diverse wines imaginable. Our role is to present these effectively to attract wine drinkers in diverse markets worldwide. We're the team behind Portuguese phenomenon, Porta 6. Sales of the Lisbon red with the yellow tram on the label have exploded and it sits just outside the Top 10 sellers (global branded reds) in UK grocery. When we became exclusive importers of Porta 6, in 2013, sales were negligible, now they’re approaching £30m per year and it’s overwhelmingly the #1 Portuguese wine brand. Guy was the creator of world famous and unforgettable Fat Bastard and we also built classic French brands, La Châsse from the Rhône Valley and Calvet from Bordeaux. We’ve also sold millions of bottles of our own brands, most notably Anciano - a Spanish success story in multiple markets, the core range is from Rioja. Other GAW brands include Atlantique, Poquito, Vega Barcelona and Gran Familia. Our talented team includes country specialists who work closely with producers to ensure consistent quality. This has made GAW a go-to supplier for private label and retailer own-label, a result of our excellent and responsive customer service. We recently achieved the best possible "AA" grade of the BRC Global Standard for Agents and Brokers. Based in leafy Somerset, South-west England, we concentrate on selling our portfolio to all the top retailers in the UK. However, our horizons know no bounds. North America is a key market, but consumers in countries as diverse as Australia and Brazil or Sweden and Japan are enjoying our wines every day. Family-owned and still with the passion of an entrepreneurial start-up business, we aim to continue growing, whilst having some fun in the process.
