About Gymnastics South Australia Inc
Gymnastics South Australia Incorporated is the peak body for Gymnastics in South Australia and is affiliated with Gymnastics Australia. Gymnastics South Australia is a not for profit association, comprising affiliated clubs, life members, registered athletes and technical members (coaches and judges). Gymnastics South Australia is governed by a volunteer Board of Management. Day to day management is administered by the State Office staff. Gymnastics SA embraces seven Gymsports, they are: • Men's Gymnastics; • Women's Gymnastics; • Rhythmic Gymnastics; • Gymnastics for All (including KinderGym); • Aerobic Gymnastics; • Trampoline Gymnastics; • Acrobatic Gymnastics; Each Gymsport is managed by a volunteer Sports Management Committee (SMC) who work in partnership with the Board and Staff to service approximately 17,000 members. The Gymsports, as well as providing for elite athletes, are well positioned to promote a healthy lifestyle and active participation for athletes of varying levels of ability. The Gymsports also serve to provide athletes with a foundation of skills that can contribute to success in complementary sports such as diving and Aerial Skiing.
