H.O.O.A.H. WI is a 100% Volunteer Organization that works specifically with Wisconsin Veterans. 100% of all funds raised go back into the programs designed to help local veterans with physical, mental, emotional, and financial needs. MISSION: H.O.O.A.H. WI’s mission is to eliminate suicide with a proactive approach to the overall wellness of service members, veterans and their support systems through programs and certified professionals. H.O.O.A.H. WI support programs such as Victory22 that sends at-risk veterans to one of the best PTSD retreats in the country, with H.O.O.A.H. WI starting one here in Wisconsin this upcoming year. H.O.O.A.H. WI also has a Veterans Yoga Program that allows veterans and their significant others a place to work on their mind and body with locations in Green Bay, Appleton, and Milwaukee. Operation Cold Snap is a program designed to bring warmth and utility savings to Veterans during winter. Operation Freedom Freefall is an event to help reduce issues that lead to depression and Veteran suicides by taking veterans sky diving, and H.O.O.A.H. WI even has a Scuba Certification program as well. H.O.O.A.H. WI also supports the veteran community through programs like Got Your Six K9s, Bigger than the Trail, Team River Runner, Guitars for Vets, Warbird Airbrush, the Salute to Freedom Flag Program. Throughout the year H.O.O.A.H. WI hosts multiple events to bring awareness to veteran issues such as the Veteran Suicide Awareness Ruck March, the Operation Tip-Up Fishing Derby, and our annual Gala and picnic. These community events are designed to get people involved and help alleviate stigmas that surround veterans and bring light to some of their needs. All the money raised during these events goes right back to the support programs and growing those programs throughout the state.
