About H3: Health. Hope. Healing.
H3: Health. Hope. Healing. originally began in July 2007 as a breast cancer support group to provide women in our community a forum to discuss diagnoses and treatments, as well as offer them education and information on cancer-related health issues. Since then, we have grown immensely and become a positive force in the constant fight against breast cancer. We have attained 501(c)(3) status as a recognized non-profit organization in order to continue this important work in our local communities. We are now able to offer outstanding lectures and workshops on breast cancer awareness, treatment breakthroughs, and prevention. We focus on integrating conventional and alternative modalities by promoting an overall healthy lifestyle. H3 was created out of a dire need to connect cancer survivors with the resources and information they require to fight their battles, but perhaps more importantly the need to overcome the instant fear one feels upon being newly diagnosed. In addition, there was a need for support to deal with post-treatment side effects, both physical and emotional and to teach patients to be their own health advocates and stand up to inattentive doctors and uncaring insurance companies. Looking to the future of H3: Health. Hope. Healing., we intend to continue pursuing our objective of connecting cancer survivors with the resources and information they require to fight their battles along with building an outstanding organization that people can come for support, community, friendship and a future cancer-free.
