About Habbag Systems NZ
Habbag Biodegradable Nursery Systems was born from the acknowledgment of nursery owners about the amount of plastic used in their industry. Within the nursery industry throughout the world there is a heavy reliance of plastic planter bags, plastic pots and synthetic weed matting for many decades now. Habbag Biodegradable Nursery Systems is the brain child of long time The Gorge Nursery owner Sarah (Sis) Johnston and Jean-Michel Libeau the man behind some the world’s most technologically advanced performance yarns and fabrics. HEMP, the miracle plant. Retted hemp is one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics currently available. It is fully biodregradable. Hemp fibre is one of the strongest and most durable of all-natural textile fibres WOOL is a perfect material to use in our nursery systems. It is a natural and fully biodregradable fiber and in New Zealand is from a readily available and renewable source. Perfect for small and large scale planting projects where soil conservation and weed suppression are required.
